01 – I am a mother.
Tammy Pate, founder of Art of the Cowgirl once said “I never resented having a family, because it never changed my life.” This resonated with me. My work, My life + family, my interests are heavily – one. It’s just as much my job to nurture myself as it is to nurture her and her individuality.
02 –We live on a farm + ranch in Oklahoma & it inspires me everyday.
03 – I have a weimaraner name Sarge + you’ll see he travels with me a lot.
04 – Bucket list place to shoot an elopement: Saguaro National Park, AZ
05 – Why I’m drawn to intimate weddings: I take a lot of pride in creating a safe environment for people to be themselves + watching people choose themselves on THIS day especially and being able to witness it through a lens… creating lasting physical memories of it… is just WOW for me.
There’s a lot of life lived + experiences that make up who I am. And I know that’s true about you too. I’m drawn to getting to know people + learning WHO they are under the surface. It’s part of how I document. It’s part of humanity + humility. It’s part of empathy. It’s important + I seek it everyday.
